Over the years along with the success of JJBA Araki was able to acquire a collaboration with the renowned Italian luxury brand Gucci in a unique and unexpected partnership that brought together the worlds of high fashion and manga. This collaboration, known as “Gucci x Hirohiko Araki x Spur,” emerged in 2013 when Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini, approached Araki to create exclusive artwork for a special edition of the Japanese fashion magazine Spur. Araki’s distinct art style, characterized by bold lines and dynamic poses, seamlessly blended with Gucci’s sophisticated aesthetics.
The Louvre invites the comics (Le Louvre invite la bande dessinée) was an event held to celebrate the collaboration between French publishers The Louvre Collection (Musée du Louvre Editions) and Futuropolis. Araki was invited and his work displayed.
