My Favorite Characters from Star Wars

Anakin Skywalker

“The Chosen One”, Anakin Skywalker, is my overall favorite character in all of cinema. Star Wars all revolve around him, as he falls to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader and reeks havoc on the galaxy in the Original Trilogy. It is easy to love Anakin, as well see him grow up from Slave on Tattooine to one of the most powerful Jedi ever by the time he sadly gives into the dark side over the course of the Prequels. His redemption at the end of Episode VI is a perfect ending for his character.

Darth Maul

Darth Maul is just a total badass, I mean just look at him. His face is terrifying, his fighting style is one of the most aggressive ones in all the movies, and debuted the first double-bladed lightsaber in Star Wars history. Maul was special because his lightsaber fight in Episode I was the first duel in Star Wars that felt real. I also love how his character was carried onto shows like Rebels and the Clone Wars.

Yoda

I loved Yoda from a young age, his small green statue and unique style of speaking made it easy. His looks should not deceive, however, as Yoda is one of if not the most powerful Jedis of all-time. Also, at his death he was over 900 years old (900!!).

Mandalorian

The Mandalorian, or “Mando” for short, is one of the newer star characters in the Star Wars universe. I loved his show, named after him, and his reclusive way of life. Like Yoda, his quiet and secretive lifestyle does not describe his fighting and bounty hunting skills. His fight scenes in his show are some of the best in all of SW. Also, his father-son like relationship he has with Grogu (pictured with Mando on the left) is refreshing for Star Wars.

Obi Wan Kenobi

Obi Wan Kenobi has always been one of my favorite Jedi from Star Wars. His seriousness and devotion to the Jedi Order has always been traits I loved about him. Now his charm and humor really round his character as a fan-favorite. His new show “Kenobi” debuts Spring 2022.
