GRADES
You can be the most talented player, but if your grades are not good enough, then no coach wants you on their team. Coaches sees your grades as reflection of your character. The lower the GPA the more you seem as though you lack understanding of responsibility, organization, and lack of restraint. Although a GPA does not reflect your intelligence, when a coach has not met with you enough times to know your character then all they can do is judge you by your GPA as well as your stats.
NETWORKING
As you progress closer and closer to your senior year, it is important to reach out to multiple different coaches. One way to make yourself seen is creating a profile on NCAA. This way coaches can reach out to you and respond to you faster.
PRESENTATION
Record. Every. Game. If you have no proof of how you play, how you lead, or even how you strategize then coaches can only look at you as a gamble. Every single gamble could come with heavy risks. Why would any coach choose someone with no stats over someone who averages 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals. You must present yourself as someone who can stand up to a role as well as someone who is seen as coachable.
