Pickleball

I started playing pickleball regularly last spring/summer. I enjoy the smaller court size and the combination of elements from tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Pickleball is great for beginners so it’s much easier for me to find a playing partner than many other sports.

Pickleball is gaining popularity and matches can now be seen on television. Down below is a list of pickleball events. So far, I’ve only played on outdoor courts, but indoor courts are starting to become very popular now which allows the sport to be played regardless of the weather.

Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. It can be played as singles (2 people) or doubles (4 people). The rules slightly differ from traditional tennis allowing for a quicker game.

There’s a place close to where I live that holds indoor pickleball events. If you would like to learn more about it, click the image on the bottom left.

If you want to know more about it nationally and the scheduled events, click on the schedule below.
