Festivals and Traditions

Belgium, just like other countries have their own festivals and traditions. One of these festivals is the Carnival of Binche which is a three-day event starting on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday and involves people wearing costumes of Belgium’s colors and throw oranges at the crowd. The significant of these oranges is that they bring good luck to those that they are throw to and rejecting or throwing back the orange causing bad luck instead.

Belgium also has multiple music festivals throughout the year, but another festival is Festival of Wallonia which is simply a holiday in Wallonia that commemorates the participation of Wallonia in the Belgium Revolution in 1830.
