Berserk is a dark fantasy series that follows Guts, an ex-mercenary with a tragic upbringing. It takes place in a medieval-inspired world that is brimming with inhuman and corrupt beings. Here we can see the emphasis on themes such as friendship, betrayal, and maturity. Berserk is geared towards an older audience due to the violence and mature themes.

Giganto Makhia

Giganto Makhia is a post-apocalyptic fantasy where the world has been thrown into peril by the emergence of colossal humanoid creatures called “Giganto Makhia”. The story follows a group that tries to navigate through the dangerous lands to uncover the truth behind these creatures. This is another story that is meant for a mature audience due to similar themes as Berserk.

Noa

Noa is a post-apocalyptic fantasy manga that follows a character named Noah. It is a survival story that takes place in the distant future where technology has exceeded what we know today. This is one of Miura’s lesser-known works, but this is one that he created during his time at Nihon University. This being one of his debut mangas shows how soon he found his preferred style of story and art.

Futatabi

Futatabi is a fantasy drama manga that follows a character named Rick, working as an apprentice in an underground world. He bumps into someone named Venus who claims to be from somewhere else that looks identical to where they are. This is one of Miura’s early works that he submitted to get into Nihon University. There is little to no coverage of this story.
