- Determine the age
- 1-2 Weeks: eyes closed, not mobile, under 1lb, needs to be nursed
- 3-4 Weeks: eyes open, begin to move around
- 5-7 Weeks: talkative, curious, eating on their own
- 8-9 Weeks: Playful, active, eating well, around 2lbs
- Gather your materials
- Are they injured?
- Yes: call the vet or clinic
- No: get them to a safe warm shelter
Foster until 8 weeks old, then the kitten can be spayed/neutered and adopted. If mom is found with the kitten(s) and friendly take her in too!
