By fostering you are volunteering to take in underaged, sick, injured, or under-socialized animals into your home for a temporary amount of time. Fostering helps prevent overcrowding in shelters and better prepares the cat or kitten to be adopted.
It can be hard to let go of a foster animal you have become emotionally attached to. Always remember you are playing the most important role in getting this unwanted cat or kitten a loving home. The goal is always to say goodbye, but sometimes it is okay to have “foster fails” too! This is when you decide that you want to adopt the cat or kitten and have them permanently a part of your family!
