Neon Typography

This is an example of neon typography. This is a photo of the sign for Cork Bar in Ocean City, MD.

The type is pretty simple, just a sans-serif typeface. The way the type is manipulated to curve under the beer mug does make it a bit more interesting. The sign is static, it doesn’t flash nor is it animated in any way. This is fitting though, as Cork Bar is kind of a dive bar, so the sign sets your expectations before you walk in.
