Reese’s

Back in 1928, Harry Burnett Reese wanted to make a popular candy and company. He started the company called Reese’s and five years later he made the Reese Cup. When he first made them, his peanut roasting equipment had a malfunction giving them a different taste. After buying new equipment, he had to remake the original taste. They also used Hershey’s chocolate. 

 

 

  

Snicker

Made in 1930, the candy bar was named after the Mars family favorite horse. In the UK and Ireland, the it was called the Marathon Bar till 1990. At the time, the standard price if candy was five cents, this was sold twenty cents.

 

 

Hershey’s

Invented by Milton Hershey, the Hershey bar was introduce in 1900. He wanted to make a name in the chocolate business so he went to Switzerland to learn how to make chocolate. That’s where he learn of milk chocolate.

 

Twix

Invented in 1976 by Mars. It was only in the UK under the name Raider. It was not introduce to America till 1979. In the 1980s, it was not selling. So they replace the caramel layer with a soft peanut butter blend.
