Wrigley’s Gum

William Wrigley Jr started his company in 1891. It start off by selling baking soda and soap. Each purchase came from with a  piece  of chicle gum, which came from Latin America. He decide to switch to gum after realizing how popular it was. It also help that gum was concern a “medicine”  during this time. It was later bought by the Mars company.

 

 

 

Gummy Bears

Hans Riegel Sr and his wife Gerturd started a company in 1920 in Germany. It was a failing company till Riegel made the Gummibar. It was the first time gelatin and fruity flavors were combined.  Riegel would then sell his company to American and then it entered the market in 1982.

 

 

 

Sour Patch Kids

Frank Galatolie created Mars Men in the 1970s in Canada. Canbury and Malaco Licorice made the Allen park company and started to prduced. The name Sour patch kids would come in 1985 and introduce it to America.
