Hockey is what I believe to be a very underrated sport. Hockey is a growing sport and becoming much more popular in the United States with more and more players coming from southern regions which would be unheard of just twenty years ago.
Reasoning:
- No other sport has this big of a mixture of physicality and scoring.
- With there being multiple lines and rotations that play throughout the game, it makes it so that teams that may have the best lineup still can lose just based on depth.
- Going to Hockey games is by far the most entertaining. Although sports are similar in person and on TV but just have the atmosphere, I find Hockey to be a sport in which everything is different in person. The game itself seems much more fast-paced in person and being able to see how hard some of the hits are its insane.
For these reasons, Hockey is ranked number two on this list.
My Personal Favorite:
- The Buffalo Sabres, although they are a team with the longest-standing playoff drought in professional sports, the Sabres always have good young talent and love to play a fast game. They are a team that wins all of the time which makes it frustrating, however, the team is increasing year by year and will hopefully be good soon!
