Football

Ravens' stadium in Baltimore, MD

Football is the last on my list for many different reasons. I grew up a big football fan but over the years it has become more and more difficult to watch.

Reasoning:

  • Football has maintained steady viewership, but poor officials have ruined the game along with bad owners. Teams can easily go from the Super Bowl one year to a bad team for the next fifteen.
  • The media with sports have also taken over, but the coverage that they do is extremely repetitive. The coverage is not for the entertainment of the game anymore and is just for publicity and making money.
  • The commentators for these games come up with the most absurd stats to try to make players sound good. If you watch the sport, you can understand what is going on, however, the stats that they display almost make it seem like they want to give a record of some sort to everyone just for fun which I feel personally has hurt the sport.

My Personal Favorite:

  1. The Baltimore Ravens, they have had plenty of success in the twenty-something years that they have been around and are again good this year. They have a good coaching staff that can lead players to do what they want and have a positive effect on their team. They however do disappoint a lot in playoffs which is consistent so don’t get your hopes up!
