Ingredients:
- Elbow Macaroni
- Butter
- Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
- Milk
- Half and half
- Shredded cheese
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees, and lightly grease a square baking dish.
- Cook the noodles, but make sure that you slightly undercook them (about 1 minute under al-dente). Drain them and set them aside.
- To make the roux, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. then blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Slowly stir and add milk into the roux. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of shredded cheese to the sauce and stir until the cheese is melted. Next add the cooked macaroni noodles and toss to coat them in sauce.
- Pour half of the pasta mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle a 1/2 cup of shredded cheese over top of it. Pour the rest of the mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle the top with more cheese.
- Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted on top.
