Spaghetti Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Elbow Macaroni
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • Milk
  • Half and half
  • Shredded cheese

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees, and lightly grease a square baking dish.
  2. Cook the noodles, but make sure that you slightly undercook them (about 1 minute under al-dente). Drain them and set them aside.
  3. To make the roux, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. then blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Slowly stir and add milk into the roux. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of shredded cheese to the sauce and stir until the cheese is melted. Next add the cooked macaroni noodles and toss to coat them in sauce.
  5. Pour half of the pasta mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle a 1/2 cup of shredded cheese over top of it. Pour the rest of the mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle the top with more cheese.
  6. Place the baking dish into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted on top.
