Chin Chin Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 400g plain flour
  • 120g sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 185ml whole or diluted evaporated milk
  • 40g butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • oil (for frying)

Preparation:

  1. mix all dry ingredient, then add the egg and melted butter
  2. stir and combine until you get a crumby dough
  3. add milk
  4. mix until you get a smooth and non-sticky dough. leave the dough for 30 min
  5. sprinkle some flour on a clean surface, then roll out the dough on it
  6. using a pizza cutter or knife, cut your dough into desired sizes and shapes
  7. poor cooking oil into a pan, should be enough to cover /deep fry chin chin.
  8. fry for about 2 minutes or till golden brown
  9. scoop out when dry and place in a paper towel lend plate to soak oil
  10. yummy Nigerian chin chin is ready
