When using the internet you might need to download a new application. Here’s what usually is and is not safe to download:
Safe to download:
- Files from trusted sources such as Microsoft and Apple
- Files from a cloud service that is under your login information such as google drive
- Files from trusted well known application marketplaces such as the google play store, app store, and steam
Not safe to download:
- Files from sites that have a red flag
- Files that are not essential to complete the task at hand
- Files from the spam folder in your email
- Files from texts that have unknown numbers
- Unofficial versions of a file such as video game roms or mp3 file
- Exe files from non trusted sources
