General Facts

Dolphin is a name used when describing the many species of Dolphin in our world. The most common dolphin and the one I’ll be covering is the Bottle Nose Dolphin (AKA Tursiops truncatus) Is an aquatic mammal found commonly all over the world only not seen in polar waters. Their diet consists of mostly fish. This dolphin belongs to the Dolphindae (Oceanic Dolphin) and Cetacea family

Fun Facts

  • Dolphins have a brain large than humans
  • They commonly use puffer fish for recreational fun
  • They tend to travel in groups of around 15
  • They use echolocation to search for prey

Why it’s my favorite

For this final section I was deciding between two other animals, the Hedgehog and the Narwhale. I went with Dolphins because I liked them before the other two. Dolphins are my favorite because of their playful nature with bth other dolphins as well as with humans. I would always see Dolphins in media when I was younger and was always excited to learn about them.
