Night Life is not for everyone but if it’s for you then you came to the right place! NYC has so many options for what to do at night, especially so you can admire the city all lit up! There is so much to choose from, and I cannot list them all, but here are some fun ones!
- Jazz Clubs– If you love Jazz or always wanted to experience a Jazz club you need to check out some in NYC. NYC has many amazing Jazz clubs that help truly bring you into the music. Some Jazz clubs to visit would be: Bluenote, Dizzy’s Club, Smalls, Birdland, Village Vanguard, and Smoke Jazz & Supper Club. (Check out the video at the bottom of the page)
- NYC Nightclubs– If you enjoy partying and always wanted to in NYC then you definitely need to visit some nightclubs. Dance it out with some of your friends and some of the best-known clubs: Mr. Purple, Marquee, Catch, Lavo, and Le Bain.
- Saturday Night Live- SNL is a well-known late show that has celebrities hosting and performing constantly so you never know who you could see! If you love watching this show or just want to watch a late show this is a great opportunity to be a part of a tv show audience!
- Swing Dancing- Don’t know how to dance but always wanted to learn swing dancing? NYC is the place for you! Swing 46 offers classes every night at 9 pm where you can learn swing dances such as Jitterbug, Waltz, and Foxtrot. You don’t have to be a dancer to have a fun time learning these dances!
- Symphony- Symphonies are not something that everyone will enjoy but if you have a love for music or relaxation this is the place for you. Grab a nice dinner and drinks and then enjoy the amazing music from the NY Philharmonic.
- Comedy Club- Comedy clubs are something simple to plan and can add a lot of fun to the night. If you enjoy hearing jokes and want to experience it I definitely recommend giving it a try! Some of the most recommended comedy clubs are: Gotham Comedy Club, Comedy Cellar, Broadway Comedy Club, and Asylum.
- Drag show- Drag shows are so fun to experience and being in NYC makes it even better. Drag shows entail lip-syncing, dancing, and these amazing performers with elaborate hair, makeup, and outfits. Some of the best places to see a drag show in NYC are: Hardware, Barracuda Bar, The Iridium, Pieces Bar, and Club Cumming.
- Karaoke- There are many karaoke bars throughout the city. If you love to sing or just enjoy joking around with your friends this is definitely something fun to try. Some spots to go and enjoy Karaoke are: Sing Sing, Duet 35, Sid Gold’s Request Room, Maru, and Alligator Lounge.

If none of these things are your style, search for something you love and I know you will find it somewhere in the city! It is so diverse and has so many fun and interesting things to do and learn about. There are even ghost tours. This city has everything and so many new things to discover!
