You cannot go to NYC without exploring some of the attractions this amazing city has to offer. I cannot list all of the activities but I will give you some you should definitely check out and some that are also free!
The first thing that is a must to see would be the Statue of Liberty! You can take a 1-hour cruise around the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island starting at around $35 a person, or you can take a ferry to Ellis Island to visit up close the Statue of Liberty starting at around $30 a person. There are other options such as tours or audio guides that you can pay extra for if you are interested.
Another amazing place to visit would be the Empire State Building. You are able to see spectacular views from this building and get to learn all about how it was built and was the tallest building in NYC before the world trade center was built. Tickets for the Empire State Building start at around $47 a person.
Ever wanted to see the city from the sky? Book yourself a Manhattan Helicopter Tour and view the beautiful city from a birds-eye view during the day or at night when it is all lit up. These tours are a bit pricey at $200 a person but is a once in a lifetime experience!
There are Museums all over the city to choose from you just have to find something that interests you! Do you like fossils and animals? Visit the American Museum of Natural History starting at $28 per person. Do you like sweets such as ice cream? Visit the Museum of Ice Cream starting at $48 per person. Enjoy learning about sea, air, or space? Visit the Intrepid Museum and get to go into a real-life submarine, starting at $33 a person!
Visiting during the Holidays?
- Enjoy shows and love watching dancers perform? See the Radio City Rockettes in their Christmas Spectacular starting at $80 per person.
- Are lights your favorite part of the holidays? Take a horse carriage private tour around NYC to see all of the beautiful lights. For a group of 4, it starts at $375.
- Want a way to party in style on NYE and do something different? Book the New Year’s Eve all-inclusive party cruise starting at $229 per person.
Last, but definitely not least, I had to talk about Broadway! NYC is known for its shows put on such as Hamilton, The Lion King, Wicked, and Book of Mormon just to state a few. Depending on the Musical the prices do range. Some can be expensive but if you have never seen a Broadway show before, I highly recommend setting aside some money to attend one of these wonderfully performed shows!
