Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup of white sugar
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 3 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 cups of chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- In a large bowl, put together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until it becomes smooth and fluffy.
- Beat the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture until well blended.
- Fold into the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Drop rounded spoonful’s of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
