Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. In a large bowl, put together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until it becomes smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture until well blended.
  6. Fold into the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded spoonful’s of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
