Traditional Clothes of Pakistan

Shalwar Kameez is the most common type of clothes in Pakistan. The word “Kameez” refers to shirt which is worn over loose trousers called “Shalwar”.  Both men and women wear Shalwar Kameez, which comes in a variety of styles, colors, and fabrics. These clothes can be found stitched at stores, or you can also buy unstitched fabric from stores and sew them at home to create your own unique outfit.

In Pakistani weddings, the bride often wears a stunning red Lehenga, which is a long pleated skirt paired with a short blouse, adorned with intricate embroidery, beads, or other decorative elements. The groom usually wears a Sherwani, which is a long coat-like garment, often made of silk or brocade, and embellished with embroidery, beads, or other decorative elements. These traditional wedding attire are known for their elegance and are an integral part of Pakistani wedding customs and traditions.
