There are so many breeds of domestic rabbits, each having different characteristics. Rabbits vary in shape, size, color, and pattern. Some are harder to adopt than others, but the list below gives some insight into how many choices there are.


Dutch:
– Size: Small to Medium
– Coat: Short, dense, and glossy
– Color: Distinctive color pattern with a white blaze on the face and a solid color on the body.

Holland Lop:
– Size: Small
– Coat: Short and dense
– Ears: Lop ears that hang down on the sides of the head.

Mini Rex:
– Size: Small
– Coat: Short, plush, and velvety
– Color: Various colors and patterns

Netherland Dwarf:
– Size: Very small
– Coat: Short and dense
– Ears: Short and erect

Flemish Giant:
– Size: Giant
– Coat: Medium length, dense
– Color: Various solid colors

Mini Lop:
– Size: Small to Medium
– Coat: Medium length, rollback fur
– Ears: Lop ears, longer than Holland Lop’s ears

Lionhead:
– Size: Small
– Coat: Long, wooly mane around the head
– Ears: Small and upright

New Zealand White:
