Washington D.C. is a very culturally diverse city with multiple things to do and areas to explore. When you’re in a pinch and need quick ideas, refer to this list to find new experiences in the city!

  • The National Mall

Exploring the National Mall is an optimal idea, as there are numerous memorials and landmarks throughout Downtown, D.C. From the Lincoln Memorial to the Jefferson Memorial, you can occupy your entire day by traveling through the National Mall.

  • Museums

Though still part of the National Mall, D.C.’s wide variety of museums is deserving of its own section. Take the family out to see the Museum of American History, the Air and Space Museum, or the African American Museum for an interactive history lesson. Most of them are free for entry, or reduced price for children/large groups!

  • Chinatown

Chinatown provides tourists and locals with a look into Chinese cuisine and culture with an American shopping experience. Take the train to Gallery Place and view the local cultural attractions and murals.
