Darth Vader
Darth Vader has been feared across the galaxy since his movie debut 1977. Ever since that, his powerful, ruthless, menacing stature has left its mark on cinema. For the first 3 Star Wars movies, Darth Vader symbolized evil. Another attribute that earned him a spot in this hall of fame is his iconic mask and breathing making him memorable. In a dark hallway the second you hear his breathing apparatus fear will strike you.
A good villain isn’t just powerful, ruthless, or menacing they also need a tragic story. Darth Vader had a dark upbringing. Once, Anakin Skywalker a slave of his home planet, was allowed to become a Jedi. He took this opportunity but always struggled with his emotions of attachment. Becoming a Jedi is hard, you must follow a strict set of rules forbidding you to have a significant other in your life. Well, Anakin didn’t follow this rule allowing his emotions to tule him. In addition, he was misguided and manipulated by a dark sith. All this led Anakin to the dark side but as others thought of this as evil he was doing this for love. In the end, Darth Vader is one of the most iconic supervillains of all time.
