My name is Kyle Johnson. I am currently a junior at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. I am a Mass Communications major in the Journalism track, with a minor in Electronic Media & Film. I love all things SPORTS! I have played basketball and baseball since age 5 and was lucky enough to compete against 103 teams from across the U.S. at Cooperstown Field of Dreams in New York when I was 12 years old. This was a life changing event. I played varsity baseball in high school which was rewarding since our team went to the state championship both years I was on the team. Since the age of 14, I have officiated both basketball and baseball games for 2 local youth recreation organizations.
My favorite sports team is the Baltimore Ravens. I am a huge Lamar Jackson fan! My grandfather is also a diehard Raven’s fan. He is a PSL holder so I am lucky to attend games with him often. He also is a member of a local Raven’s Roost which travels to see one away game each year. In 2019, we went to Kansas City to watch the Raven’s play. It was a very humbling experience. We plan to go to Las Vegas in September 2021 to tour the new stadium and support our team.
I am from Pasadena, Maryland and love being around the water. My family has 2 boats that we take out often to fish and enjoy the outdoors. I aspire to travel the U.S. and abroad to experience life outside Maryland.
I am excited about this podcasting journey. I hope to have fun and entertain as well as educate about the complex world of professional sports.
