Aside from the beach, there are many things to do in Bethany or right around it.
If you’re looking to test your balance and have a few laughs with friends and family, check out Coastal Kayak located just an eight minute drive from Bethany. They offer kayaks, paddleboards, and sailboats. You can rent, take a lesson, or take a tour on any of these water toys. This is a great way to take a break from the sand and get moving in a new way while you’re visiting Bethany Beach, DE.
Another one of my favorite activities is outlet shopping. Tanger Outlets is just outside Bethany, located in Rehoboth, DE. With this massive stretch of over 100 stores, I can guarantee there will be something for everyone in your group. You can take a break from the beach and the sun by spending a day here, getting all your favorite items for less.
Last but certainly not least is Jungle Jim’s. This waterpark isn’t just for kids, although I have been going since before I was tall enough for the big slides. Here you’ll find good food, all sorts of adventures both in and out of the water, and my personal favorite dessert: Dippin’ Dots! Jungle Jim’s offers go-karts, mini golf, batting cages, and bumper boats, along with a lazy river, splash park for any younger kids, lazy river for those that just want to relax, and plenty of heart-dropping water slides for older kids and adults seeking a thrill. With all these activities, there is something for everyone and enough that you’ll find yourself going back for more, even after a full day spent there.
