Cameroonian Music consists of different genres and sounds. Because of the heavy French influence, the majority of songs and dances are in french or contain a mix of English, French, and different tribal languages. Music from smaller regions is usually sung in the tribal language or slang spoken around the area. Makossa, a popular style, usually has a dance beat and uses a lot of rhythms and brass.
