NEPALI SPICED TEA

Masala Chiya (Tea)
Serves: 6 Cups
DIRECTIONS:
- Steep tea in boiling water.
- Add milk, sugar, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick.
- Simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors.
- Strain and serve hot.
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 Tablespoons black tea leaves (or 3 tea bags)
- 5 cups boiling water
- 1 1⁄4 cups milk, heated
- 1⁄3 – 2⁄3 cup sugar
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 -3 cardamom pods, cracked open (or 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom)
- 1 cinnamon stick
