About Me

Hello.  My name is Brad Miller and I am in my 7th year as a second grade teacher at Dogwood Elementary School in Baltimore County.  I teach all subjects but my favorites are math, science, and social studies.  My favorite thing about being in the classroom is my students.  They are amazing and hardly a day goes by without them teaching me something new.

With respect to my career plans, I am scheduled to graduate with a master’s degree in Instructional Technology in December of 2023.  I am seriously considering leaving the classroom at that time to pursue a career in instructional design or eLearning development.

Born and raised in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, I now live in Lutherville with my two children, Hayden and AJ, as well as my dog, Snickers.  I enjoy many outdoor activities with my family, working on my house, and cooking.   Sailing and camping top the list.  Probably because I’ve been doing them the longest!  I am also the type of person that jumps at opportunities for life experiences.  I once visited a friend in Florida and ended up riding a bull.  A real one.  For three seconds.  Never again.

Hayden, 12, is a proud tomboy who loves soccer!

AJ, 10, is very thoughtful and sensitive to others.

Snickers, 4, is sweet and playful.
