Adobo is the most famous food in the Philippines. Most modern-day Filipino adobo is prepared with vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaves, and black pepper. Adobo is made in many different ways amongst families.
Lumpia is the second most famous food in the Philippines. It’s essentially a spring roll that is filled with ground pork, cabbage, and carrots, and then wrapped in a paper-like or crepe-like pastry skin.
Sinigang is one of my personal favorites. It is ranked sixth for the most popular Filipino foods. This dish is a savory soup that’s made of meat (pork or salmon), tomatoes, spinach, okra, green beans, and sinigang powder. This dish is normally eaten with rice.
Pancit, also spelled “pansit” is a noodle dish that consists of meat, normally pork or chicken, noodles (vermicelli), green onion, celery, carrots, and green beans. Lemon is also squeezed on top of the dish to give that zest taste.
