Leopard Gecko Care Guide

Shown above is a picture of a leopard gecko. They are originally from the grasslands of India and Pakistan, so they enjoy warmth. They tend to be docile animals and can live from 5 to 10+ years depending on their health and breeding. They are nocturnal meaning they are most active at night, so during the day it is important that they are given warm places to sleep during the day, but lots of space and terrains to explore at night. On average adult leopard geckos can grow to 6 to 8 inches long. They also can be housed together or separately, but if you house multiple together it is recommended that you start this from a young age so they don’t feel like they need to compete with each other. They range in patterns but typically come in some variation of black, white, orange, yellow, and sometimes a light shade of lavender.
