My Name is Josh Coplai and I am a RCIS at University of Maryland St. Joseph Hospital in Towson, MD. My job is to prepare all equipment as well as the patient for any Cardiac Cath procedure that will need to be performed. The job is a 24/7 call job and requires quick thinking and a level head during stressful situations. The people you work with become family as you see them more often than you might your actually family members. The job is very rewarding and always has something new or different happening on a daily basis. On this page you will see the steps and reasoning for performing different procedures. This is simply an informative guide and should not be attempted by anyone unlicensed and outside of the hospital setting.
