The Tik-Tok community was once a place to post social media updates using unique sounds as entertainment. However, in early 2020 Tik-Tok announced that it will be starting a creator fund that allows people to become creators and get paid to make Tik-tok content. A lot of creators from different social media apps like YouTube and Instagram were excited about the new opportunity to make money in a new place of work.  

I knew it was my opportunity to seize when I heard that the creator fund was potentially something a creator could live off. Plus, I loved the idea of making fun engaging content while getting money to improve on the content I make for new followers. The TikTok creator fund is estimated to be a total of 200 million and honestly, I cannot even count that number on my fingers, and you think that would be a good thing, but you are wrong. The funding is lower than any social media app fund that gives back to its creator since it is relatively new.  

The creator fund only gives money to creators if you reach a certain level of followers totaling 10 thousand. The struggle for me to reach that many followers with no knowledge of how to appeal to an audience was brutal. However, with challenging work I climbed the ladder and was finally able to apple to the creator fund. Once applied the following video and the video you make in the future will be making the creator money depending on the amount of view the video makes.  

Every 1000 views your video gets you to get paid 4 cents so if your video garners over a million and performs well you would make a total of 80+ dollars. It is easy to get a viral hit on Tiktok and if you are consistent when posting you might get a million on all your Tit-Tok earning 80 dollars every day. The case for well-established Tik-Toker is they know what their audience wants and what to post leading to successful video racking up 80 million views. That 80 million views can earn someone a mass amount of money just enough to live off and expand their careers onto other social media apps.  

Before my junior year started, I was successful in posting content daily creating up to 3 TikTok’s a day. Those three TikTok would get up to 10k likes earning me in total for the month 30 dollars which is not much, but I was happy money was coming in. There was one successful Tit-Tok of mine that I posted in February of this year that garnered up to 8 million views and launched my following rate across the 10k line. Unfortunately, that TikTok was posted before the required paying mark, so I was not able to get paid.  

Currently, the pay is not good, but I am enjoying posting content regardless of my views, an average of around 2000 to 3000 views per video. The key to garnering mass views and likes as I take my leave is to always keep track of the viral sounds and music that all Tiktok is listening to and enjoying currently. Stay on top of the trend and you will be getting pained daily without waste and be the content creator you always wanted to be.
