Castillo de San Marcos
The Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the country. It was originally used by the Spanish to defend Florida and the Atlantic Trade Route. The castle is still standing today right in the middle of town, and offers hand on tours of the inside. It is such a cool experience and teaches you so much history about the town.
Ripley’s Believe it or Not
The Ripley’s museum has over 35000 unique rarities including a floating well, bed of nails, optical illusions, and more. It takes about an hour to walk through the museum, and it is perfect for when the weather is too hot to enjoy an outside activity!
Night of Lights
During the holiday season, St. Augustine offers a night of lights where you can ride a trolley through town and view the various different lights put up on all the historic buildings, palm trees, and bridges.
