The best time to visit Santorini is between late April and early November when the weather is warm and there is little rain. For hot weather, nightlife, swimming, and sunbathing visit in June, July, August, or September. For comfortable sightseeing and moderate temperatures, March to May or October to early December are best.
Late June through early September is peak season. Warm, bright weather with plenty of people – but never too numerous to be unpleasant. Prices are at an all-time high. The hottest and nicest seawater for swimming. Ferries are the most common modes of transportation. November through April is the low season. In the winter, Santorini is becoming increasingly popular. It’s a terrific time to visit the attractions and save money, but be ready for everything in terms of weather. Many hotels and restaurants are closed for the winter, but more seem to be opening each year.
