Kayaking in Akrotiri is a blast, and you’ll see a lot of stunning colorful rock formations that most people never see.
Similarly, a boat tour (catamaran boats) from the Vlychada marina to the sunset in Oia, including pauses at beaches and hot springs, lunch and beverages onboard, costs roughly 150€ per person. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that’s well worth it.
Horseback riding is also available near Vlychada.
If you enjoy hiking, there are two main trails to choose from: Fira-Oia by walking along the caldera’s cliffside or a 2-3 hour trip up a mountain Kamari-Pyrgos .
