My family were born in Togo, a small country right next to Ghana and Benin, in the West Coast of Africa. My parents and my eldest brother were born there. Only my sister and I were born in the states. In the country, they have a native language called Ewe, which my sister speaks fluently, and I currently lack. Each side of the family has multiple siblings, so I have plenty of aunts and uncles, some which I am still learning about. Family History is an important part of my knowing me because my family revolves around almost everything, I do from what I eat to what my aspirations are. It all comes from them, and I love and appreciate them every day.
