What is a Character Sheet?

Naturally, maybe not everyone knows what a character sheet is.

The long and short of is basically, a character sheet is meant to show off the appearance and glimpse into the personality of a character. They’re popular for people to show off their original characters, DND players, and are even used by companies when in the character creation process.

Well, what exactly makes a character sheet different from another drawing? Well, more often than not they are full-body drawings of a character. The pose and clothing the character is in are meant to heavily show off their personality and even backstory. If the character is a cartoon character then the clothing they are would be the clothing they are likely to be wearing for all of the show.

Frequently, the character is not actually in a natural pose, but one meant to show off their physical appearance and outfit. In this case, the artist is trying to show off the character’s design more than their personality. It all just depends on what style of character sheet one is making. Character sheets also frequently close-ups of things such as tattoo designs, jewelry, and small features so that the small but important aspects of the character get as much attention as the bigger ones.
