Pain Births Kindness

Quote: “No…I don’t think you understand. See, I’m only nice because no one was ever nice to me. I only pay attention to you because no one ever paid attention to me. I only love you because no one ever loved me. I don’t think you realize how much pain it takes to make a person this kind.”

In a canvas of words, a portrait profound,
A tale of pain and kindness, I expound.
With strokes of empathy, I shall paint,
An ekphrastic creation, a heart’s complaint.

No understanding, you may profess,
Of the scars that mold this kindliness.
From a barren landscape, a seed takes flight,
Bathed in tears of solitude, it finds its light.

A gentle touch, a foreign caress,
Reveals the absence, the void’s distress.
Yet within the shadows, a spirit finds voice,
Embracing the neglected, making a choice.

For every act of kindness shown,
In an arid landscape, compassion is sown.
The echoes of neglect, the void’s despair,
Blossom into empathy, beyond compare.

Attention paid, a scarce resource,
A remedy for a soul’s discourse.
In the portrait I sketch, a longing unfurled,
Seeking solace, transforming a wounded world.

Love, a fragile tapestry, torn and frayed,
A sentiment unrequited, but never swayed.
From loveless depths, a heart does glean,
The power to love, despite what’s been seen.

Do you fathom the weight of pain’s embrace,
The crucible that molds a spirit’s grace?
In each stroke, I lay bare the strife,
For kindness blossoms from a wounded life.

An ekphrastic canvas, vivid and clear,
Reflects the anguish, the courage held dear.
In hues of empathy, the image takes flight,
A testament to a soul’s relentless fight.

So behold this creation, wrought with care,
A testament to resilience, to hearts laid bare.
For in the depths of suffering, we find,
The power to be kind, in a world unkind.

Fölnandi hvíslar ~ Fading Whispers

In the quiet corners of friendship’s embrace,
A tale unfolds with a delicate grace,
Of a bond that bloomed in a fleeting hour,
Now masked in shadows, slowly losing power.

We laughed, we shared secrets, side by side,
Through whispered words, our hearts did confide,
In a world spun swiftly, where connections grew,
Unaware, we waltzed, entangled, but now I withdrew.

Softly, silently, I began to retreat,
Like a fading star, surrendering its heat,
No longer did I seek the light of your gaze,
My steps grew fainter, lost in the haze.

Like the ebbing tide, I slipped away,
Treasuring the moments, yet needing to stray,
Gradually detaching, unnoticed, unseen,
A friendship undone, like an unraveling seam.

No sudden farewell, no words to betray,
Just a gradual distance, day by day,
I held my silence, kept my reasons veiled,
As I journeyed alone, my heart saddened and frail.

Oh, the ache of letting go, unbeknownst to you,
With each step backward, my heart grew askew,
But I couldn’t bear the weight of false ties,
Nor the burden of emotions veiled in disguise.

Slowly and silently, our paths diverged,
Like whispered promises, no longer urged,
The warmth we once shared, now a distant ember,
A fading memory, a friendship to remember.

You may not perceive the depths of my retreat,
The fading connection, my heart’s bittersweet,
But in the depths of my soul, a void remains,
As I navigate a world no longer the same.

Yet, I cherish the moments we once held dear,
The laughter, the joy, the whispers so clear,
For in this parting, a new chapter unfolds,
As we walk separate paths, as life unfolds.

So, farewell, my friend, in quiet solitude,
May life’s journey be kind, your heart imbued,
With memories of a time when we were near,
Now distant echoes, silently held dear.

In the realms of silence, I bid you adieu,
A friend in my heart, though I fade from view,
This gentle farewell, veiled in the mystic unknown,
A journey unspoken, a friendship outgrown.

Susurrat Seductiva incantationem ~ Whispers Seductive Enchantment

In a realm of whispered desire’s flight,
Two souls engaged in a dance of delight.
A daring question lingers in the air,
Igniting flames of seductive affair.

“So you think you could have me?” he dared,
His voice, a spark, a temptation shared.
With a coy smile, she sipped her reply,
“I mean… couldn’t I?” A sensual sigh.

Ecstasy’s tendrils begin to weave,
As passion’s flames within them conceive.
His heart races, caught in her spell,
“Oh fuck,” he whispers, his senses swell.

Her eyes, a fire, burn deep within,
Her touch an invitation to sin.
She presses closer, her voice a purr,
“Yes or no?” Her words, a velvet lure.

In this tantalizing moment’s embrace,
He surrenders, longing etched on his face.
With breathless longing, he finally replies,
“Yes…” he concedes, lost in her eyes.

Their desires intertwine, a sensual blend,
As bodies entwine, their passions ascend.
In this seductive verse, their fates entwined,
A symphony of pleasure, both fierce and kind.

So let desire guide your every line,
In the realm of passion, forever entwined.
With whispered words, ignite the fires anew,
And in seductive poetry, your fantasies pursue.

Ties That Empower

In bonds of friendship, stories intertwine,
Where euphoria and empowerment align,
Yet drama lurks within this cherished space,
A tapestry of emotions we must embrace.

With hearts entwined, euphoria we find,
In laughter shared and moments so kind,
A symphony of joy, a blissful dance,
Friendship’s euphoria, a magical trance.

Empowerment blooms in friendship’s embrace,
Nurturing souls, igniting inner grace,
Together we rise, as strength intertwines,
Empowered by love, our spirits align.

But amid the harmony, drama may arise,
Testing the bonds, revealing truth in disguise,
A storm of emotions, turbulent and wild,
Friendship’s resilience, put to the trial.

In facing the drama, we learn and grow,
Navigating conflicts, seeds of wisdom we sow,
Communication’s embrace, the healer’s balm,
Friendship’s foundation, weathering the storm.

So let us reflect on these threads we weave,
Friendship’s tapestry, intricate and naïve,
Euphoria, empowerment, drama entwined,
A tapestry of life, beautifully designed.

Twisted Desires Unveiled

In a realm where words form art’s embrace,
A dialogue dances, entwined with grace.
Two souls once entangled, now estranged,
Their voices echo in verses unchanged.

Ex-Boy: “I don’t want your heart,” he coldly cried,
A shard of bitterness concealed inside.
Ex-Girl’s eyes searched, her spirit aflame,
She questioned him softly, “Then, what’s your aim?”

Ex-Girl: “Tell me, what do you desire from me?”
A tremor in her voice, curious to see,
The truth that lurked in his twisted mind,
A story unraveled, secrets to find.

Ex-Boy: A wicked laugh escaped his lips,
A chilling sound, like shadows’ eclipse.
“What I want,” he sneered, dark intentions unfold,
“Is for you to suffer, just as I was once told.”

Ex-Girl: Bewildered, she pleaded, “Pray, explain,
The torment you seek, in this twisted game.”
Her heart still fragile, yet filled with might,
She yearned for answers, to fathom his plight.

Ex-Boy: “I want you,” he jeered, his laughter bitter,
“To crumble within, like shattered glimmer.
To be defiled mentally, by all things grim,
And watch your spirit wither, growing dim.”

Ex-Girl: Her eyes, resolute, met his haunting gaze,
She stood undeterred, amidst the murky haze.
“No longer your captive, no longer oppressed,
I choose strength and healing, to be my quest.”

Ex-Boy: His laughter faded, as her words found grace,
Her resilience a shield, in this sacred space.
Their connection severed, a tale now foregone,
She’d rise from ashes, like a phoenix at dawn.

In poetry’s realm, their dialogue resides,
A testament to wounds, love’s turbulent tides.
But she embraced strength, refusing to break,
And with each verse, her spirit would awake.

Fleeting Echoes: A Melancholic Elegy

Inspiration from Vera Lynn’s “We’ll Meet Again”

We'll meet again, in memories' embrace,
Where cherished moments dwell, in time and space,
Though parted by fate, ans life's cruel demands,
In remembereance, we'll linger, holding hands.

Through tear-stained recollections, we'll find solace,
For in grief's embrace, we seek a fragile solstice,
But let not false hope sway, for truth must prevail,
As we navigate the depths of heartfelt travail.

We'll meet again, in whishpers of the wind,
As fleeting echoes of love, forever chagrined,
In each passing season, a reminder, bittersweet,
That time moves on, and hearts quietly retreat.

No promises of reunion, nor grand illusions,
But tender reflections, bound by life's conclusions,
For though we yearn for presence, that cannot be,
In our hearts, dear souls, forever you'll be.

So let us mourn with grace,, embrace the sorrow,
For in loss, we find strength to face the morrow,
In this elegy we scribe, withh words so true,
May our love endure, eternal and through.

Kindness Unbound: A Sister’s Resolve

Prompt: A older sibling a girl defending her little brother from bullies. Telling them this “As a gentle reminder, I am choosing kindness. This means I’m more than happy to explore other options if I feel the kindness is not working out. You see I am not committed to kindness. There is no ring on my finger in regard to kindness. I will jump the kindness ship with such ease you’ll wonder if I was ever on board the fucking ship”

Author Note: Wanted to write about my sister for once.

In the realm where shadows prey,
A sister stands, fierce in her display,
To protect her brother from the cruel affray,
She wields her words, in a poetic sway.

"As a gentle reminder," She begins to say,
"I am choosing kindness, come what may,
But hear me well, for I'll swiftly convey,
If kindness falters, I'll find another way.

No binding vows hold me to this creed,
No ring on my finger, no binding need,
I'll abandon the ship with incredible speed,
Leaving doubts behind, you'll wonder, indeed.

For in my heart, love's flame shall ignite,
But my gentle resolve will never take flight,
I'll stand as a shield, a beacon of flight,
Defying the darkness, defending what's right.

I'll weave words that pierce, like a warrior's lance,
Confronting the bullies, I'll give them a chance,
But if they persist in their cruel advance,
I'll embrace strength's fury, they won't stand a chance.

For brother dear, I'll fight till the end,
With sisterly love, our spirits shall blend,
Together we rise, our bond will transcend,
defying the tormentors, a message we'll send.

So hear me now, with every word that drips,
From my lips, like honey, or a fiery eclipse,
I am his guardian, with a resolve that equips,
To protect and defend, as our kinship eclipses.

With kindness I stand, my heart shining bright,
But should it falter, I'll take up might,
For in this sibling bond, in love's sacred rite.

So bullies beware, before you sail astray,
I am a force, with words I convey,
I'll shield my brother, come what may,
With kindness or might, I'll lead the way."

Release, Love’s Silent Farewell

Poem request from JL: Let her go

purpose: It was never meant to be ( need something relatable)

In twilight’s gentle hue, my heart does weep,
A melody of longing, a secret I keep.
For in this labyrinth of desires, I know,
Maybe it’s time to let them go.

Like whispered sighs upon the summer breeze,
Their essence lingers, igniting memories.
Yet fate’s cruel hand has marked our separate ways,
Where star-crossed dreams must yield to brighter days.

Their laughter, a symphony that charmed my soul,
Their touch, an elixir that made me whole.
But destiny’s veil obscures what could be,
A love unbound, forever out of reach for me.

With each stolen glance, a bittersweet ache,
My heart’s compass yearns for a path I can’t take.
For reasons hidden in life’s complex design,
Our love, forbidden, cannot intertwine.

And so I stand upon this precipice of letting go,
Releasing tender tendrils, aching to grow.
Though tears may stain this tapestry of the past,
I’ll hold the echoes of love that forever last.

In realms untrodden, my heart shall mend,
Embracing the whispers of what might have been.
For love, it dances freely, unbound and free,
Even if it’s not meant for you and me.

So let them soar, like birds in the sky,
Across vast horizons, where dreams never die.
And I, with gratitude, shall set them free,
To find their happiness, far from the reach of me.

For in surrender lies a quiet strength,
A selfless act that spans the breadth and length.
And as I bid farewell to what my heart yearned,
New chapters shall unfold, and lessons be learned.

Maybe it’s time to let them go, I say,
To forge my own path, come what may.
For love’s true essence, in freedom we find,
A chance to heal, to grow, to leave behind.

So as the sun dips below the twilight’s glow,
I release their memory, my heart’s bittersweet woe.
With hopeful steps, toward the unknown, I tread,
Embracing the beauty of a love that can’t be said.

If you’re going through tough times missing a loved one.

Cupid’s Arrow Strikes

Poem Request by Simone K.

Prompt: cupid

Purpose: For my boyfriend

Have to get this off my chest
I’m telling you today
That when I talk to you
Oh cupid walks right through
And shoots an arrow through my heart

In your presence, time stands still,
Our connection, an enchanting thrill.
As words flow between us, I’m swept away,
Lost in a symphony only we can play.

The arrow’s sting, a bittersweet pain,
For with it comes a love I can’t restrain.
You’ve captured my thoughts, my very being,
In your embrace, I find the joy of seeing.

Each syllable spoken, like a gentle caress,
Whispering secrets, my heart can’t suppress.
For when I talk to you, a world awakes,
A love story unfolds with each breath it takes.

Oh, let us cherish this ethereal dance,
Two souls entwined in a serendipitous chance.
With Cupid’s arrow as our guiding light,
We’ll navigate the depths of love’s sweet flight.

So, let these words bind us, heart to heart,
And from this moment, let us never part.
For when I talk to you, love knows no bounds,
In your presence, a symphony resounds.
