Nectar of the Moonlight Depths

23/08/23

Beneath the veil of midnight's hush,
A potion drawn from the depths unknown,
Nectar of the Moonlit Depths,
In chalice of starlight, softly shown.

A drink that's born from the slumber's realm,
Where dreams and shadows intertwine,
Its essence cools the fevered brow,
A touch of magic, so divine.

From lunar wells, this elixir drawn,
A sip of nights own whispered spell,
In stillness of the sleeping world,
Its tranquil whispers softly swell.

O nectar of the Moonlight depths,
Embrace the hour's quiet flight,
A draught of solace 'neath starlit skies,
A mystic balm for soul's delight.

Deaf to Your Creation

23/21/11

In a whirlwind of rage, the echoes resound,
"How are you so deaf to the notes that astound?
Sister in Faith, did you not realize your power?
You crafted the symphony, each tone, each hour!

Yet blind to your might, oblivious, it seems,
You ignore your essence, your creator's dreams.
The melodies you birthed, now lost in the din,
How dare you deny the music within?

Frustration blooms, a tempest untamed,
You, the composer, should not be blamed!
Your, symphony thrives, yet you refuse to hear,
Your own brilliance drowned by doubt and fear.

Oh, sister in Christ, awake and perceive,
The harmonies you birthed, why deceive?
Embrace the crescendo, reclaim your domain,
Shatter the silence, let your essence reign!"

Victim of Time

23/11/05

There are times I wish to see you but you never came,
Lost in the shadow of moments, silent and untamed.
In the stillness of my longing, I bear this heavy weight,
A victim of time's cruel hand, left to contemplate.

The memories of your absence, a haunting, endless sea,
I'm trapped in the echoes of what could never be.
Each passing day a reminder of the void you left behind,
A victim of time's relentless march, a heart confined.

I yearn for your presence, a solace never found,
In the depths of this solitude, I'm forever bound.
A prisoner of the past, a silent, echoing rhyme,
A victim of time's ceaseless flow, lost in endless time.

Echoes of Consequence

Created: 23/10/03

Ivory Stokes:
One day you will have to answer for your actions
And God may not be so merciful.

In the quiet depths of existence, the ledger remains,
A relentless observer, impartial and just,
Unfazed by pleas or the weight of remorse.

Each choice etches a mark upon the tapestry,
The tapestry of existence we weave,
Threads of intention, woven with the threads of consequence.

In the dim corridors of time, we tread,
Unaware of the final audit awaiting,
No ledger lost, no action hidden,
For every cause has its inevitable effect.

The scales of justice, unwavering,
No hand can tip them, no plea can sway,
The reckoning looms, no escape in sight,
For deeds once done, forever in the annals of eternity.

God's mercy, a distant echo, faint and fading,
As we march forward, boun  by our actions,
In the end, the sum of our choices,
Shall determine our fate, our legacy, our truth.

Release, Love’s Silent Farewell

Poem request from JL: Let her go

purpose: It was never meant to be ( need something relatable)

In twilight’s gentle hue, my heart does weep,
A melody of longing, a secret I keep.
For in this labyrinth of desires, I know,
Maybe it’s time to let them go.

Like whispered sighs upon the summer breeze,
Their essence lingers, igniting memories.
Yet fate’s cruel hand has marked our separate ways,
Where star-crossed dreams must yield to brighter days.

Their laughter, a symphony that charmed my soul,
Their touch, an elixir that made me whole.
But destiny’s veil obscures what could be,
A love unbound, forever out of reach for me.

With each stolen glance, a bittersweet ache,
My heart’s compass yearns for a path I can’t take.
For reasons hidden in life’s complex design,
Our love, forbidden, cannot intertwine.

And so I stand upon this precipice of letting go,
Releasing tender tendrils, aching to grow.
Though tears may stain this tapestry of the past,
I’ll hold the echoes of love that forever last.

In realms untrodden, my heart shall mend,
Embracing the whispers of what might have been.
For love, it dances freely, unbound and free,
Even if it’s not meant for you and me.

So let them soar, like birds in the sky,
Across vast horizons, where dreams never die.
And I, with gratitude, shall set them free,
To find their happiness, far from the reach of me.

For in surrender lies a quiet strength,
A selfless act that spans the breadth and length.
And as I bid farewell to what my heart yearned,
New chapters shall unfold, and lessons be learned.

Maybe it’s time to let them go, I say,
To forge my own path, come what may.
For love’s true essence, in freedom we find,
A chance to heal, to grow, to leave behind.

So as the sun dips below the twilight’s glow,
I release their memory, my heart’s bittersweet woe.
With hopeful steps, toward the unknown, I tread,
Embracing the beauty of a love that can’t be said.

Essential Software Security

Project for COSC 175

Software security is essential and must be taken seriously,

Because hackers are constantly hiding and looking to take advantage of people.

Given that everything is now digitized and accessible online,

The most important thing is to protect sensitive information, period.

Software security is not always straightforward to achieve.

It entails locating weaknesses and neatly fixing them.

Neglecting security can have disastrous results.

resulting in a decline in client loyalty and a loss of trust.

From integer errors to buffer overflows,

And everything in between, security risks are always on the go.

It’s up to developers to ensure, that their code is secure,

Keeping it up-to-date, and free from any obscure.

So remember, software security is not just a choice,

It’s a responsibility, one that should not be voiced.

Protecting users and their data, is always the goal,

For software security is essential, it’s the heart and soul.
