Cut Out

Poem request/quote from Makayla: “I’ll cut you out the frame, so I don’t gotta see your face no more.”

In secrecy, we built a love so grand,
But betrayal took hold and it was unplanned,
Your face a reminder of what we used to be,
Now I’ll cut you out the frame, set you free.

My instinct tells me to let you go,
For the bleakness of our love has taken its toll,
No more will I see your face and feel the pain,
I’ll move on, start anew, and be sane.

The secrets we shared now buried deep,
In a grave of memories, I’ll forever keep,
For the love we had was once so pure,
But betrayal cut it down and made it obscure.

So I’ll cut you out the frame, let you fade,
Into the abyss of my mind, forever betrayed,
For in this bleakness, I’ll find my way,
And my instinct tells me, it’s time to walk away.

The Betrayer’s Regret: A Reckoning of Instincts

Created: April 13, 2023

Beneath this stone, a restless soul lies still
Whose choices led to an inevitable chill
A life once bright, now faded away
Betrayed by the darkness that led astray

Yet, in this tragedy lies a lesson profound
To follow instincts with a purpose unbound
For what we do in life echoes in eternity
And shapes our fate with ironic certainty.

A Tally to the List

Created: January 29, 2022

I have a lot of people who are mad at me,
But what’s one more fucking tally to the list?
I trust my instincts, and they will always be
The ones that guide me, whether wrong or right.

The ones who are mad, they see only the blight,
They hold grudges like stones and never let go,
They’ll twist your words and spread lies in the night,
Leaving you alone in the darkness below.

They’ll come for you, sharp as an arrow,
With anger that sears like a red-hot flame,
Their words will pierce and cut like a sword,
And leave you feeling hollow, broken, and maimed.

But I’ll keep my head high, and my heart will remain,
True to my instincts, never swayed by their pain.

For what’s one more tally to the list,
When you know your instincts will never miss.

Silent Scorn: A Whispering Tribute

Created: April 9, 2023

Silence can be a powerful tool,
A weapon to make others feel small,
But staying quiet after being disrespected,
Can make a scary human after all.

It takes courage to stand up and speak,
To let the truth be heard and seen,
But to hold back, to stay meek,
Can make even the bravest feel unclean.

Those who stay silent may seem weak,
But they are holding back a storm,
A storm of thoughts and emotions they seek,
To keep the peace, to not conform.

But beware of those who stay silent,
For their silence can be a warning,
That the disrespect they have been presented,
Has made them a force to be reckoned with in the morning.

So don’t underestimate the power of a voice,
Even if it’s just a whisper or a shout,
For silence can be a scary choice,
And the human behind it, a force to be without.

Stormcaller’s Regret

Created: April 5, 2023

The wolf does not pity the lamb,
And the storm begs no forgiveness from the damned.
Nature takes what it wants and needs,
Showing no remorse for those it heeds.

The predator hunts for its prey,
Showing no mercy, just its savage way.
The prey may beg and plead for life,
But the predator only sees it as a prize.

The storm rages on, fierce and wild,
Leaving nothing but destruction in its file.
It doesn’t care who it drowns or displaces,
For it is nature’s way, no apologies or embraces.

We see ourselves as higher beings,
But nature is the true queen and king.
We may have emotions, love and hate,
But nature only follows its instinctual state.

The wolf does not pity the lamb,
And the storm begs no forgiveness from the damned.
We may curse and scream at their ways,
But they just continue on, nature’s play.
