Poem request by London: She gave the first line.
What happened to the good times?
The sun once shone so bright,
Its golden rays a gentle rhyme
That chased away the night.
The flowers bloomed in brilliant hues,
Their petals soft and kind,
And every breeze that gently blew
Brought fragrant peace of mind.
The world was full of wondrous things,
Like birds that sang with glee,
And laughter, like a pair of wings,
Set our hearts and sprites free.
But now it seems the world has
changed,
The sun obscured by clouds,
The flowers wilted and deranged,
Their beauty lost in shrouds.
The birds no longer sing their songs,
Their melodies now hushed,
And laughter, once a source of
throngs,
Has turned to tears, so crushed.
Yet even in this darkest hour,
A glimmer still remains,
A memory of what once was dour,
And hope that it sustains.
For though the world may seem to
fade,
Its beauty still endures,
and light of love, we'll wade
Through times that feel unsure.
Dream
World of Possibility
Created: March 11, 2023, 20: 31
In a world of dreams, I find control
Where anything is possible, and nothing's old
I know that I'm sleeping, but still I stay
To mold my own reality, in every way.
I soar high above, with the wind in my hair
I dance in the rain, without a single care
I visit distant lands, with colors so bright
Or explore my own mind, deep into the night.
In this world of dreams, I am free
To be who I want, and do as I please
I can talk to people, long gone from this earth
Or create new beings, with endless worth.
The possibilities are endless, in this dreamy place
Where I am the master, of time and space
Though I know I'll, from this magical land
I'll cherish the memories, and hold them close at hand.
Chronicles of the Lamenting Dreamer
Created: April 9, 2023
I stare into the night, lost in my thoughts,
Wondering about all the what ifs and could’ves.
My mind runs through endless cycles,
Of the dreams I had and the chances I missed.
I regret so many things, it’s overwhelming,
Each mistake like a knife in my heart.
I try to push forward, but I’m constantly held back,
Trapped in this endless cycle of regret.
What if I had taken that leap of faith,
Or chased after the dreams that filled my head?
What if I had made different choices,
Would I be happier now instead?
I can’t change the past, I know that’s true,
But the what ifs and regret haunt me still.
I try to move on, to start anew,
But the cycle continues, a never-ending uphill.
So here I am, lost in my thoughts once more,
Wondering if I’ll ever break free.
From the chains of regret and what ifs,
And finally live the life meant for me.
Feast of Dreams Beneath the Stars
Created: January 30, 2019
Beneath the stars, I dream of a feast,
Where nature’s bounty is our only priest,
The moon shines down with a gentle light,
As we savor each flavor with all our might.
The air is filled with a sweet perfume,
Of wildflowers that bloom and consume,
The sounds of the forest whisper low,
As we indulge in this mystical tableau.
Memories of times gone by,
Mix with the flavors that we try,
And in this moment, it’s clear to see,
That life is more than just what we can be.
For in this feast, we find a connection,
A moment of pure and true perfection,
And we realize that love and nature are one,
And that this feeling will never be undone.
So let us savor this feast of life,
With all its joy, and all its strife,
And let the stars above us remind,
That we are all a part of a grand design.
A Whimsical World
Created: April 1, 2023, 16:30 pm
In a whimsical world, beyond what we know,
Where the sun and the moon both put on a show,
There lived a dreamer, who wandered so free,
Through forests of fantasy, and mountains of majesty.
Her memories were etched in the trees and the stones,
And her heart beat strong with the rhythm of the unknown,
For she’d tasted the sweetness of food and of love,
And known the pain of heartbreak, both below and above.
Her spirit was lifted by hope’s gentle hand,
As she roamed through the meadows, across the land,
And though she knew sadness, and loss, and despair,
She kept climbing higher, with courage to spare.
In this world of what ifs, she found her way,
And learned to cherish each moment, come what may,
For even when life seemed a mystery,
She held on to the goodness of all she could see.
Through friendships that bloomed like the flowers in spring,
She found a sense of belonging, and a song to sing,
And when she looked back on the journey she’d trod,
She knew that she’d lived, and had loved with all her heart.
And so, in this world of fantasy and dreams,
She found the key to unlocking life’s themes,
Of joy, of reflection, of the bittersweet,
Of memories, of realization, of all that’s unique.
For in this world beyond what we know,
The beauty of life can truly glow,
And we can find meaning in the most unlikely places,
And create a world filled with hope and with graces.
