What Once Was

Poem request by London: She gave the first line.

What happened to the good times?
The sun once shone so bright,
Its golden rays a gentle rhyme
That chased away the night.

The flowers bloomed in brilliant hues,
Their petals soft and kind,
And every breeze that gently blew
Brought fragrant peace of mind.

The world was full of wondrous things,
Like birds that sang with glee,
And laughter, like a pair of wings,
Set our hearts and sprites free.

But now it seems the world has
changed,
The sun obscured by clouds,
The flowers wilted and deranged,
Their beauty lost in shrouds.

The birds no longer sing their songs,
Their melodies now hushed,
And laughter, once a source of
throngs,
Has turned to tears, so crushed.

Yet even in this darkest hour,
A glimmer still remains,
A memory of what once was dour,
And hope that it sustains.

For though the world may seem to
fade,
Its beauty still endures,
and light of love, we'll wade
Through times that feel unsure.

Eternal Sentinel

Uneka calls out to Ishnol,
As he walks away, without control.
Leaving her behind, once again,
Without a word, or a thought to spend.

But then, she grabs him by the arm,
And he turns, with his eyes alarmed.
Black and white, with a Nordic sign,
A sight that makes her heart decline.

Ishnol speaks of immortality,
A curse that brings him agony,
Endless pain, and suffering,
A life that’s never-ending.

He’s seen things he wishes he hadn’t,
And his soul has been broken and battered.
He can’t be attached to anyone,
For they will die, while he lives on.

He’s been betrayed and held captive,
His gift a curse, that’s so massive.
Uneka tries to understand,
But he’s too broken to take her hand.

He tells her that immortality is a curse,
A fate worse than death, that’s adverse.
A reminder of one’s own insignificance,
In a universe that’s cruel and indifferent.

So Uneka learns from Ishnol’s pain,
And she’ll never see immortality the same.
For his words are a warning, a call,
To never seek what’s not worth it all.

Complex Web

The lyrics I portrayed in a song are from Introverted by Zotiyac. The lyrics are at the bottom.

I hope for the best, but don’t believe it
Trust is hard, and I’m not easily deceived
I keep my distance from others, no regrets
For I know the pain that comes from making bets

She trusted me once, but now I don’t know
The reasons why we drifted, why we let it go
Memories of our love, still fresh in my head
But the motives that changed, are still left unsaid

Long nights, arguments, and making up
Moments of passion, but never enough
I held her close, when she cried her tears
My shoulder wet, with the weight of her fears

She loved me, but I can’t believe
For my heart, remains hard to retrieve
Affectless, in the face of her affection
A shield I wear, to protect my reflection

Relationships, they come and go
Trust, love, regret, and woe
A complex web, that we all must weave
To find the balance, that we can all believe.

[Lyrics]
"I don't believe it, but I hope the best
I don't fuck with people, so I leave 'em without no regrеt
She ain't have to trust me and shе did, but
I don't know the rest
Start off unconditional become a different motive next
Long nights embedded in my head that
I ain't gon' forget
Argue 'til we fuck, you cancel work and now we overslept
Member I would hold you when you cry, it got my shoulder wet
She just wanna love me, don't believe her so it’s no affect"

Cut Out

Poem request/quote from Makayla: “I’ll cut you out the frame, so I don’t gotta see your face no more.”

In secrecy, we built a love so grand,
But betrayal took hold and it was unplanned,
Your face a reminder of what we used to be,
Now I’ll cut you out the frame, set you free.

My instinct tells me to let you go,
For the bleakness of our love has taken its toll,
No more will I see your face and feel the pain,
I’ll move on, start anew, and be sane.

The secrets we shared now buried deep,
In a grave of memories, I’ll forever keep,
For the love we had was once so pure,
But betrayal cut it down and made it obscure.

So I’ll cut you out the frame, let you fade,
Into the abyss of my mind, forever betrayed,
For in this bleakness, I’ll find my way,
And my instinct tells me, it’s time to walk away.

Secrets, Lies, and Love: A Friendship Survived

She thought she knew her friends so well,
But the lies they told made her heart swell.
She had no clue what they were up to,
The secrets they kept made her feel so blue.

Her friend group full of guys she thought she knew,
But their actions, she realized, were far from true.
One day she saw one in a sling,
Her heart dropped, a sickening feeling.

She went to talk to the one who knew,
The main contributor to what they would do.
She screamed and cursed, betrayed and bleak,
For their secrets and lies had made her weak.

She couldn’t believe they’d kept her in the dark,
Their disregard for their own safety, she found stark.
But through her anger, she showed her love,
For her friends she’d go to the ends of the earth and above.

In the end, they apologized for their ways,
For the lies and secrets they kept in a maze.
They realized they were lucky to still be here,
And promised to be truthful, that much was clear.

Though they almost lost their lives in their pursuit,
Their friendship grew stronger, a solid repute.
The lies and secrecy, now a thing of the past,
Their bond unbreakable, forever to last.

The girl with her friend group full of guys,
Realized the importance of seeing through lies.
Her love for them kept them all together,
Through betrayal and secrets, they’d brave any weather.

Endless Pain

The darkness looms, the shadows creep,
The pain is all that one can keep.
A life of sorrow, a life of woe,
The hurt so deep, it won’t let go.

The agony of every day,
The sadness that just won’t go away,
The weight upon your chest it stays,
A burden you can’t seem to slay.

“Did you really want to die?”
“No,” she said with a tearful eye.
“No one commits suicide because they want to die.”
“Then why do they do it?” he asked with a sigh.

“Because they want to stop the pain,”
She said with a voice full of disdain.
The pain too much, too hard to bear,
The only option is to no longer be there.

The bleakness of a life in pain,
The constant fight to stay sane,
The decision made to end the strife,
To leave this world, to end this life.

Surface Tension

Introverted, deep inside,
My struggles I cannot hide.
It ain’t personal, please don’t take,
I’m just reserved, my space I make.

I hope for the best, but don’t believe,
My trust issues, hard to relieve.
I don’t mess with people, no regret,
Long nights embedded, I won’t forget.

I fear a lonely death, it’s true,
No one left, just blackness, no clue.
Can’t smoke my life, just roll away,
Compassion lost, in disarray.

It ain’t you, don’t take the blame,
My issues mine, I’m not the same.
Pointed fingers, it’s not fair,
Counted on you, but you’re not there.

Surrounding aura, a daunting view,
Obstacles, seem insurmountable, true.
Trying to move forward, leave the past,
Covering scars with money, it won’t last.

Introverted, I am on the surface,
Trying to cope, with my purpose.
Deep down, I know I must strive,
To keep moving forward, and stay alive.

The Shadow of Oblivion

Poem request by Seraphine…. (I hated making this but I got paid so whatever)

In the depths of my heartbreak,
I wandered through a world so bleak,
My soul was shattered, my spirit torn,
And I wondered how I’d ever be reborn.

Betrayal came from someone close,
Who left me feeling like a ghost,
Haunted by memories of what we had,
And the pain that I couldn’t shake, oh so sad.

Regret filled my every thought,
As I wondered what I could have sought,
To prevent this heartache that I feel,
And to make our love story a different deal.

The cycles of life are hard to bear,
When it seems like there’s no one there,
To hold you close and ease the pain,
And remind you that the sun will rise again.

But in the midst of all this strife,
There’s a glimmer of hope in my life,
Compassion from a stranger’s heart,
Whose kindness is a work of art.

So I hold on to that ray of light,
And I try to see the world in a new light,
For though my heart may still ache,
There’s a chance that it can be remade.

And so I sing this ballad of woe,
Of a heart that’s been broken and low,
But also of the love and compassion that’s there,
To heal and bring back a heart that once was fair.

The Siren’s Red Wedding in IceHollow’s Kingdom

Created: April 14, 2023, 3am

In IceHollow’s kingdom, amidst the snow and ice,
Lived a siren, Batsheva, with powers so nice,
Her peach eyes shone bright, a sight to behold,
A beauty so rare, with stories untold.

She swam through the icy waters with ease,
Her water manipulation a sight to please,
Practicing her skills day and night,
To hone her abilities and be ready to fight.

But war came to IceHollow, so bleak and cold,
Batsheva fought bravely, her powers bold,
But amidst the chaos and battle cries,
Betrayal struck, a painful surprise.

Her own kin, Ishnol, turned against her,
A brother’s betrayal, a wound that would stir,
Irony, they say, is a cruel mistress indeed,
For the one she loved the most, was the one who made her bleed.

Regret filled her heart, as she fought through the night,
Her powers tested, with all her might,
But even her strength and endurance would wane,
As the war in IceHollow left nothing but pain.

In the end, Batsheva emerged victorious,
Her powers of healing, ever so glorious,
But the scars of war, would forever remain,
A constant reminder of the kingdom’s pain.

Oh IceHollow, your beauty doth inspire,
A wondrous realm, where nature’s grandeur never tires,
But war and betrayal, can bring such regret,
And turn a hero’s triumph, into a haunting silhouette.

The Betrayer’s Regret: A Reckoning of Instincts

Created: April 13, 2023

Beneath this stone, a restless soul lies still
Whose choices led to an inevitable chill
A life once bright, now faded away
Betrayed by the darkness that led astray

Yet, in this tragedy lies a lesson profound
To follow instincts with a purpose unbound
For what we do in life echoes in eternity
And shapes our fate with ironic certainty.
