A Tale of Failed Promises and Harsh Realities

  1. The Truth of Your LifeI said you could do better, I said you should try
But your lazy habits, they never did die
You promised to change, to be a new you
But your failures, they’re all I see in view

You try to convince me, to plead your case
But I’ve seen this all before, your lies and disgrace
Your words, they’re empty, your actions, a sham
And I’m tired of you not giving a damn

You call yourself a success, but you’re a fraud
Your ego, your pride, they’ve made you flawed
Your incompetence, it’s all on display
And it’s time for you to face the dismay

I can’t stand by and watch you pretend
Your arrogance, it needs to come to an end
Your excuses, they’re tired, your apologies, stale
And it’s time for you to face your own betrayal

You’ll never be better, you’ll never change
Your life, it’s destined for perpetual range
So save your breath, your pleading, your strife
Because in the end, it’s just the truth of your life.

  2. Embracing the failure

With words like knives, you cut me deep
Your bitter tongue, its poison seeps
“You said you would do better,” you sneer
As if my efforts, you refuse to hear

“You said you would try to be better”
Your cruel words, they only fetter
My soul, my heart, my very being
Your doubt, my demons, now agreeing

A failure, you call me, without remorse
My hope, my dreams, you aim to divorce
In your eyes, I am forever stained
By the mistakes, I have made and sustained

I try to rise, to break free from your hold
But your words, they make my spirit fold
You say I will never be able to change
As if my life, you have already arranged

Your voice echoes in my mind’s abyss
A reminder of all that I will miss
Darkness engulfs, my heart beats slow
As I embrace the failure, I already know.
