Flickering Flames

Disclaimer: Ersell is taking a break rn. He has stuff scheduled for this month so I’ll be posting stuff he has written but just hasn’t thought of publishing yet – Beni

He made this last night at 4:30 am when he was with me. it ain’t about me sadly but I know who tho. Hope you’ll enjoy

My heart aches with a longing desire,
Like a moth drawn to a flickering fire.
I yearn for your touch, your warm embrace,
But I know the flames would leave a scar on my face.

Like a rose blooming in the desert sands,
Our love would wilt, wither, and crumble in our hands.
For the sun scorches the petals with its glare,
And the winds of change leave only thorns to bear.

The moon whispers secrets to the tide,
As I hide my love, deep inside.
For like the waves that kiss the shore,
Our love would crash and burn, leaving nothing more.

The stars twinkle in the night,
As I yearn for you with all my might.
But like a shooting star that fades away,
I know our love would burn out and stray.

So I choose to stay away from now on,
To keep my love hidden, forever gone.
For like a rose in the desert sands,
Our love would wilt, wither, and crumble in our hands.
