Defense

The team that doesn’t have control of the ball but is working to keep the offensive team from scoring points is known as the defensive side in American football. Linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties, defensive linemen, and linebackers all make up the defensive unit. Linebackers are adaptable players who can rush the passer and defend against the run, while defensive linemen are in charge of rushing the quarterback and stopping the running game. The cornerbacks and safeties are in charge of containing the receivers on the other side and thwarting big plays. With the ultimate goal of halting the offense and forcing them to kick the ball away or turn the ball over, the defensive side uses a variety of strategies and formations to disrupt the attack and force turnovers.
