With the release of Eternal Awake many fans were excited for his next project as well as other future releases. Unfortunately fans would have to wait yet another 3 years for his latest album release titled “Pink Tape” which released during the summer of 2023. This was one of his most experimental albums combining songs and sounds fans were familiar with on tracks like “Flooded the Face” and “Aye” with heavy metal songs such as “Werewolf” , “CS”, and “Fire Alarm”. Pink Tape also allowed Lil Uzi to be vulnerable with his fans on songs like “Days Come and Go” and “Rehab” detailing many problems within in life such as missing friends and family or have passed away as well as his battle with drug addiction. Many Uzi fans appreciated this album due to it containing different genres styles, and flows.

Despite Pink Tape being experimental the album still performed very well to Lil Uzi Vert standards debuting once again number one on Billboards top 200 charts. Pink Tape opened first week with 167,000 units which translated to over 210 million album streams in the U.S
