Bean and Cheese Burritos and Cincos

Ingredients:

  • Refried Beans
  • Chunky Salsa
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Flour Tortillas
  • Tortilla Chips
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt & Pepper
  1. Begin by opening the can of refried beans and placing it in a glass dish or otherwise microwave safe container.
  2. Microwave the beans for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, making sure that the beans can be easily mushed via fork or similar utensil.
  3. Mush down the beans so that they cover the entirety of your microwave safe container and add your salsa and spices.
  4. Mix, using some force, make sure the salsa and spices get fully combined with the beans, if you feel that the beans are still too dry, add another dollop of salsa to your mixture.
  5. To make the burritos, place down the tortilla on a pan, then add a spoonful of bean mixture and spread it. Then sprinkle enough cheese to cover the beans. Roll up tortilla and place on baking sheet.
  6. Once your baking sheet is full, place burrito pan in oven at 350F until burritos become crispy.
  7. To make cincos, lay down enough tortilla chips to cover a baking sheet. Then for each chip, place down an adequately sized dollop of bean mixture on each chip. Following the bean mixture, sprinkle cheese all over the pan, making sure to cover all of the chips with bean mixture.
  8. For the cincos, place pan in oven at 350F until cheese is melted.
