Columbia has over a hundred miles of pathways and sidewalks, many of which lead to Lakes and Ponds throughout Columbia and other parts of Howard County. The three major lakes are Lake Kittamaqundi, Lake Elkhorn, and Wilde Lake. All of these lakes are man-made, like every other lake in Maryland and they all have pathways and sidewalks which connect to one another. Each of these lakes have pathways going around it, for the most part. When going around Wilde Lake, you have to go into a neighborhood for part of the loop. There are also many creeks, streams, and rivers that go under bridges or to the side of the path. Some of the activites that occur on these paths are fishing, jogging, walking, bike riding, sitting on a bench, or playing Pokemon Go. A lot of the pathways lead to sidewalks which also go throughout the city of Columbia.
