Here are a few races around Maryland to look into:
- Baltimore Running Festival
- The Baltimore Running Festival offers a marathon, half-marathon, 10K, and a 5K that goes around the Inner Harbor, through Federal Hill, and Fells Point.
- Runners of this race have described it as hilly and scenic, with moderate difficulty, but overall very enjoyable scenery and good production of the race. The race takes place in October every year.
- Marine Corps Marathon
- The Marine Corps Marathon is held in Washington D.C. and is one of the most well-known marathons in the U.S.. It is known to be one of the best marathons for beginners and has earned its nickname “The People’s Marathon” as it doesn’t offer prize money.
- Runners of this race have described it as easy to moderate difficulty, but a very fun race with great energy.
- This race is also held in October every year, and is the race I will be running in October 2024!
- SBY Marathon
- The SBY Marathon takes you through the city and residential areas of Salisbury, Maryland. This is a relatively flat and fast course, and is a smaller event than the ones previously mentioned.
